"My City, My Story: Local Identity and Community"
This special exhibition will showcase the creativity and engagement of elementary and middle school students from Antonia Pantoja Charter School and Eugenio MarĂa De Hostos Charter School. Titled "My City, My Story", the exhibition will feature a diverse collection of artwork, photography, and written pieces created by students. Each piece will reflect their unique experiences living in the city, celebrating their cultural backgrounds, and sharing what they love most about their community.
Through this exhibition, students will have the opportunity to express their personal stories and perspectives, offering a powerful reflection of local identity and the vibrant spirit of their neighborhoods. From inspiring photographs to heartfelt written narratives, each work will provide a window into the rich cultural tapestry and diverse lives of the students. This celebration of community is not only a display of artistic expression, but also a testament to the students' pride in their city and the bonds they share with those around them.
The exhibition is a chance to engage with the voices of the next generation and to honor the richness of the communities that help shape their identities.
Free reception with remarks from Photography Without Borders staff and students. Light refreshments provided.
